The Use of Prism Cold Plasma for the Conversion of Carbonaceous Fuels into a Hydrogen Rich Syngas

Abstract

The Prism Reactor represents a breakthrough in the economical and efficient reformation of Synthesis gas from any gaseous or vaporized fuels including: MSW, plastics, rubber, AD Systems or pipeline Nat Gas. This process is performed on site, on demand and at a fraction of the footprint and energy requirements of Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) Electrolysis or Autothermal Reforming (ATR). The  Prism technology is supported through multiple MIT patents as well as experts in the field of plasma physics. This technology is a unique, patented “cold-plasma” reactor assisted by catalytic partial oxidation (C-POx). The  Prism Reactor produces a hydrogen-rich Synthesis Gas (98% carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H2)) instantaneously at less than 1% parasitic load.
